"In the retail fertilizer business the challenge is profitability. Each piece of equipment has to stay in the field. Another challenge to face is down time.

Our company has been using Michelin radials since the spring of 2000 when we put our first set on a Row Crop Sprayer Ag Chem. We have since put them on 2 other sprayers and also a Case IH 3330 Titan floater.

With Michelin radials, it came down to cost, not the cost for each tire but the cost of the tire over the tire life. We were replacing row crop tires every 2-3 years and floater tires every 3-4 years. Michelin tires after more than 3 years still perform well.

We wanted a tire with longer life and also able to go down the road safely. By going to the Michelin tires we have seen benefits of a better ride. The better ride comes from the radial design and the lower pressure that is required. This design has taken the road hop out of the floater when going down the road, which means we have a safer vehicle that handles better and we get to the next field quicker.

With Michelin radials, we have also less crop damage. The deeper lug and slightly closer spacing protects the beans so they spring back quicker.

Michelin has proven to me that it is a high quality tire. I would highly recommend them to anyone who farms."
