"My main challenge when harvesting is the weather and field conditions.
When I operate my combines, working at heavy loads, I expect a tire
offering dependability, to have light footprint and save grain.
Michelin® Ag tires are exactly what I look for.
I have been using the Michelin tires on the combine for 2 years and
I am fully satisfied. Before, with competitor tires, I had too many
flats and the tires tore up the ground too much.
Since I have switched to Michelin, I have less field damage. I
estimate I reduced my soil damage by 50%, which means better yield.
I have also less down time. Our service calls for tire repairs have
substantially decreased. I get more stability on the combine.
I have 2 STS 9750 combines, one with 20.8R42 Rice and Cane tires
and one with Michelin large volume 620.70R42. The rice and cane
combine got stuck first, the combine with Michelin tires cut a
circle around the other combine so it could get pulled out. Then
it got stuck crossing the tracks of the other combine.
We were able to pull the combine with Michelin tires out with
one tractor, because it didn't go as deep in the mud. The other
combine with rice and cane tires took 2 tractors to pull it out.
The Michelin sidewall flex enough that when it gets mud on it,
the mud will fall off, where on the other brands it will just
ball up on the tires. "
I would recommend Michelin Ag tires to any other farmer.
